Hello all my friends. How is it going?
Its 07.20 AM in the morning when I am writing this short article
Thank you for all your comment on my blog post a few days ago, although it was written in Bahasa Indonesia, and now I have written in English. Thank you Mrs Ananka one more time for letting me know that your current job is also in the kitchen like mine.
That is so much fun and coincidental, isn’t it? It is a great thing that I finally have a good job instead of my previous one. To be honest, I was fired from my previous company, which dealt with official items and school supplies, as a part-time social media personnel around the middle of November 2025.
It was painful at the moment I was fired, and I was so happy that a few days later I finally had a good job, which obviously offers me a good opportunity to develop. The position is as one of the full-time portion personnel in the national program of Free Nutritious Food of the Republic of Indonesia, which in Indonesia is called “Makan Bergizi Gratis,” abbreviated as MBG. I have been working there since November 27th, 2025.

My work schedule is five times a week, starting from 4 a.m. in the morning until about 11 a.m. The National Nutrition Board of the Republic of Indonesia confirmed that all workers in the kitchen under the Free Nutritious Food program of the Republic of Indonesia should work for 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday, even though there is another day, Saturday, which is considered a “work day.” However, it is not actually “working,” but instead cleaning the kitchen.
I want to make this story short. In general, I complete a 6-day work schedule from Monday to Saturday, which almost gives zero opportunity to update my blog and visit my friends’ blogs, which have been listed in my contact list or reading list. I have been trying to visit your blog and leave comments there; however, not all blogs that I visit receive comments only a few of them and that makes the visit count.
Sunday is obviously my day off and also a day for all members of my family to have fun. We do some fun activities at home, such as gardening, playing music, listening to the radio, and washing our motorbikes (we have three different kinds of motorbikes used by all members of my family; we do not have a car). By the way, we have not had any television set for the last ten years; we just do not watch TV. This is the right moment for me personally to write a new article. That is what I am doing right now.
This is one of the reasons why I am not able to update my lovely blog every day; however, at least once a week at the moment. I wish I could write an everyday post, but in reality, that is far from the truth. I am not able to do it. I am sorry.
I am a bit exhausted when I come back from work; however, working in the environment of the kitchen, I am a bit exhausted too. When I come back from work, I keep doing other domestic activities at home, such as washing dirty clothes (I do not have a washing machine), sweeping the floor, cleaning the windows, or gardening. Where is my maid? Well, to be honest, all domestic activities are handled by me, and we do not have any maid.
At the end of this short story, I would like to let all my fellow bloggers know that my blog will be updated once a week, hopefully more than once maybe twice at maximum and I would also like to read and visit some of my favorite bloggers at the same time. Thank you so much for reading this short story of mine.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

This photo was taken about three months ago. I was photographed next to a vehicle operating under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. The sign on the vehicle reads "Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit." This vehicle is used to distribute thousands of free breakfast meals to nearby schools, including integrated service posts, toddlers, and breastfeeding mothers, for five days from Monday to Friday. Our kitchen located in Kuala Dua, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia

"Thank you so much for your time here. I really appreciate your precious moment here as well. Please leave any comment down below. Let me hear from you. Greetings from Indonesia"

Thank you for telling us all that you do. The food really does look good, nutritious and filling.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a car either but my son in law does and gives me a ride if I need one. The grocery store is right next door so I don't need to go other places very often. We have a washing machine in the laundry room but just 1 washer and 1 dryer for 88 apartments. So it's always being used. I usually just washing my clothes by hand in the sink. We understand you're quite busy so no worries on visiting and updating your blog. Do it when you have time, we'll be here.
Good morning Ma'am
DeleteI woke up at 02:14 AM early this morning. It was still dark outside my home. I checked my cellphone and saw some comments from you, so I decided to turn on my laptop for a second to reply to your comments. I very often use my laptop to reply to comments, but not always.
You are very lucky to live close to a grocery store from your home. That did not happen to me, I am afraid. It takes a few more minutes for me to shop there.
Regarding the washing machine that I was talking about, well, I could have purchased one, but I decided not to because it is wonderful for all members of my family to wash our dirty clothes with our bare hands, just like you did.
Thank you for your comments, Ma'am. I really appreciate them.
Glad to read more information on your job Asep. I have to say you do look happy in the video :-D It is good when you enjoy your job isn't it :-D
ReplyDeleteI bet it was painful when you got fired but it has all worked out in the end. You have an early start. I only work 2 hours a day in the afternoon and do Monday to Friday. And let me tell you those 2 hours a day are so busy, the time flies in so quickly! You must be exhausted working 6 days a week!
Your outfit in the video is very similar to ours apart from the mask. We don't wear masks but everything else yes. And have special non slip comfortable shoes too. We must cover our hair at all times. And are always washing our hands.
You need to have a work-life balance. And I know how exhausting working in a kitchen is and because it gets so hot that can tire you out too. Then you get home and need time for cleaning/cooking and spending it with your family, which is so important.
I really enjoy my job even though it is hard going. My ankle is coping well with it, though it does get sore by the end of the day. I will get stronger as time goes on and if you think I wasn't working for about 5 months, no wonder my whole body is weak as I wasn't doing much physically as had to recover.
Blog when you can, we will still be here reading your posts :-D
Dear Mrs. Ananka,
DeleteThank you very much for your kind and thoughtful comment. I am really happy to read your words. Yes, you are right I do enjoy my job, even though it can be very busy and sometimes tiring. When we enjoy what we do, the hard work feels more meaningful.
Yes, I am very happy with my new job in the field of the food delivery program under the Free Nutritious Program (MBG). I have been working in this field since the 27th of November 2025 until the present moment, and I am grateful for this opportunity to serve.
Yes, Mrs. Ananka, it was very painful when I was fired from my previous job. I had worked in that job for six years, so it was not easy for me. But Alhamdulillah, life has moved forward, and everything has worked out in the end. I try to stay positive and keep learning from my experiences.
Yes, it can be very tiring working six days a week. I have heard that in many countries abroad, people sometimes work fewer hours and get more vacation days or more days off during the week. That sounds absolutely wonderful, and I would love that too. I agree with you, Mrs. Ananka—time is changing very quickly without us being aware of it. That is absolutely true.
Yes, we have strict food safety and hygiene standards that must be followed. All workers and crew here must wear special sandals to replace our regular shoes, cover our hair at all times, and wash our hands frequently. Wearing masks here is also very strict to reduce the possibility of coughing or sneezing, which could cause serious problems with the food we are handling.
Thank you very much for your suggestions about work-life balance. I will try to follow your advice. I understand that I must stay in control of my schedule and take care of my health. I also need to create some space for “me time” to rest and spend quality time with my family.
I am also glad to hear that your ankle is coping well and that you are getting stronger day by day. Recovery takes time, and your determination is inspiring. Please continue to take good care of yourself.
Your support means a lot to me. Thank you for always being there to read my posts. I will do my best to do the same things for you all either. I love you all

Dear friend! I'm interested in learning more about your work, and I was even able to watch your video, even though YouTube is currently blocked in Russia. I've never posted every day. All my blog friends are busy people, everyone works. No one would watch my posts every day. Some people can't even watch once a week. But I don't blame anyone. Because what interests me probably doesn't interest my friends.
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs. Irina,
DeleteThank you very much, for your kind comment. I really appreciate that you took the time to read my post and even watch my video, especially with the situation of YouTube being blocked in your country.
Thank you also for sharing your information. It is interesting to learn more about why YouTube is being blocked in Russia at the moment. It makes me curious about what is happening there. From my point of view, YouTube is not always a fully open public platform for everyone, even though it provides both entertainment and information.
In Indonesia, there are also some regulations where certain types of online content can be restricted, especially content related to violence, bloodshed, or nudity. I believe each country has its own standards and policies to protect its society, even though the approach may be different from one place to another.
I also agree with you, Mrs. Irina. What we think is meaningful and interesting to write about is not always the same for others. I see this as “personal preference,” and it should always be respected. We all have different perspectives, and that is what makes blogging so unique and diverse.
We write about what we love and what we know, and we share it with the world. In our own way, we are all citizen journalists.
Because of my busy work in the MBG program, I now update my blog once a week. However, I will continue sharing my experiences whenever I can.
Thank you again for your understanding and support. I truly value our blogging friendship.
Warm regards,
Asep
Happy May Day! In Russia, it's a holiday of Spring, Peace, and Labor! YouTube was blocked in Russia due to insults, fake news, and threats from the US and EU. It was unblocked several times, only to be blocked again.
ReplyDeleteHello there Mrs. Irina. It sounds horrendous to see the fact that you and all people around you have to go through a difficult situation, especially the access to YouTube limitation in Russia.
DeleteThere are lots of advantages of accessing YouTube to get more information, not to mention, it is a valuable opportunity to see the world in a different way. What you mentioned to me, such as "fake news", "insulting", and "mocking", are common nowadays on YouTube.
I hope you already have a backup plan to come up with and get rid of this situation. Happy May Day too.
I’m sorry to hear that you were fired from your previous job, but I really feel that often things happen for the best, and it would appear that you are much happier in your newer, far more interesting job. I enjoyed reading about it.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I really appreciate it
