If you want to find a hotel that is cozy, fun, and close to Supadio International Airport in Pontianak, try to stay at the Dangau Hotel Kubu Raya in Kubu Raya Regency. This cool hotel that is part of the Dangau Hotel and Resort owned by the successful businessman Mr. Suhardiman is indeed worthy for you to try with your family, friends, or business partners.

Once you enter the Kubu Raya Dangau Hotel area, you will immediately be greeted with a magnificent gate that reads "Randayan." The name is taken from the name of a small island in the Great Lemukutan Group in the South China Sea.

An island that has long been a tourist destination for snorkeling enthusiasts and has become a favorite for its beautiful marine life. But I certainly am not discussing Randayan Island, of course. Accompanying my wife, who attended MGMP training for high school/vocational high school teachers in Kubu Raya Regency on 24–26 November 2016, I had the opportunity to stay at this Randayan Hotel. It was a really long time ago, but the good things I got from this experience always remain in my memory.

White Sand Beach

The Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel cannot be discussed on its own because it is part of the Dangau Hotel and Resort business area. The facilities that Dangau Kubu Raya is trying to offer include a swimming pool, Randayan Restaurant, Warung Dangau Restaurant, room service, a ballroom and meeting room, a fun games area, a mini bar, and transport service.

Payment methods, other than cash, can also use Visa Card and MasterCard. This Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel has three types of rooms, namely Family Suite, Deluxe, and Superior. All room types include a package with breakfast for 2 people, government tax, and service. What is unique about this Randayan Hotel is that it has 2 restaurants, namely Randayan Restaurant and Dangau Restaurant. Each of these restaurants has its own characteristics.

For fans of seafood menus, Randayan Restaurant is the most appropriate first choice because this restaurant serves a variety of seafood menus, while the second choice is Dangau Restaurant, with its specialty of serving traditional cuisine.

Amazingly, besides eating delicious food, you will be treated to a cool view, with the swimming pool in the middle. The swimming pool concept is arranged nicely with the atmosphere of a white sandy beach surrounded by the hotel building. At a glance, it is similar to the 5-star Sol Elite Marbella Anyer Hotel. Amazing. This is one of the views that I like about the Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel.

Room Facilities

Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel really has a very strategic location. You only need about 10 minutes to go to Supadio International Airport in Pontianak and vice versa from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is a perfect choice for tourists, business people, backpackers, as well as the whole family who want to enjoy the atmosphere of a hotel just like being on a beautiful beach. Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel is the place.

My room, numbered 2102, at that time was on the 2nd floor. For those of you who are not comfortable taking the stairs, you can take advantage of the elevator facilities that are also available. The elevator, which can only hold a maximum of 5 people, can be used to go to rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor. On this occasion, I invite my loyal blog readers to see what facilities were offered in the SUPERIOR room type that I used at that time.

In general, the room facilities that I occupied at that time were relatively the same as hotel room facilities in general, namely a bed, a work desk, a plasma TV or flat-screen TV with various domestic and foreign channel choices, laundry facilities, complimentary drinking water, a coffee maker, and a wardrobe.

A safe deposit box was not yet available in my chosen room type. The bathroom had a shower with adjustable hot, warm, and cold water, as well as towels and shower kits (soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes). Everything was relatively the same in general. The standard should be like that, at a minimum.

What might be a bit uncomfortable is the WIFI facility, which can only be accessed in the Randayan Restaurant lobby. This is still a question mark for me as to why guests cannot use WIFI in their respective rooms. Sometimes guests feel they do not need to leave the room to access the internet because there should already be WIFI in the room. The solution that I managed to find was turning my Android phone into a mobile hotspot, or modem.

Another thing that needs attention is the cleanliness of the housekeeping crew, who should be responsive in tidying up the used plates (dirty dishes) left in front of guests' rooms and taking them away immediately. Leaving used dinner plates piled up in front of guests' rooms made a bad impression.

I also urge guests to immediately call the housekeeping service through the operator so that everything can be resolved quickly. The lighting in the room also needs to be brighter and not as dim as I experienced. But in general, the room facilities were okay and comfortable enough, I guess.

Dangau Restaurant

As a guest of the Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel, of course, you get a voucher or meal coupon for breakfast at the Dangau Restaurant, which is located right next to the Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel. The restaurant's opening hours are from 07.00 until 22.00 WIB. The location of this restaurant is quite a walk from the hotel exit or through the back of the hotel, past Tanggooo Pizzeria.

On the first day, I redeemed the coupon at this restaurant. However, because I had to take my child to school before 07.00 WIB, I only had a light breakfast, which consisted of a loaf of freshly baked bread with strawberry jam and a glass of orange juice. I've always loved orange juice. When I was active in the Indonesian Kangaroo program and often stayed at hotels in Bali, orange juice was one of the drinks that I really liked.

Various menus are served in the "kitchen" of this Dangau Restaurant. For appetizers, there is white bread with a choice of strawberry jam or cheese. Also available is cereal or some kind of crunchy cereal served with fresh milk specially prepared by the restaurant chefs.

Cookies are also provided. For the main meal, there is rice with a full menu. Fans of chicken porridge also do not need to worry because it is available. What I like most is crackers. I am a big fan of crackers. Eating feels like not eating if it is not accompanied by crackers. Guests who do not use coupons can pay directly at the cashier. Bank Mandiri cardholders can pay using their cards with a minimum purchase of Rp. 100,000.

The music or songs typical of the Pasundan region sounded solemn in my ears that morning. Sometimes, they were also interspersed with traditional Pontianak Malay songs, which were often played while guests enjoyed their meals. Tables, chairs, and furnishings were made of solid wood.

The distinctive lighting layout gives a very elegant and classic impression. What I like is that the Dangau Restaurant crew wear traditional Malay outfits: the Baju Kurung for the female staff and Teluk Belanga for the male staff. I was amazed and very impressed with Dangau Kubu Raya Hotel. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to stay here again. Hopefully. (Asep Haryono)

Namun saya tentu tidak membahas Pulau Randayan tentunya. Mendampingi istri saya yang mengikuti diklat MGMP untuk guru guru SMA/SMK Se Kabupaten Kubu Raya tanggal 24 - 26 November 2016 , saya berkesempatan bisa merasakan menginap di Hotel Randayan ini.

Pantai Pasir Putih
Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya ini tidak  bisa dibahas sendiri karena merupakan bagian dari kawasan bisnis Dangau Hotel and Resort.  Fasilitas yang dicoba ditawarkan olehHotel Dangau Kubu Raya ini  antara lain  swimming pool (kolam renang), Randayan Restaurant, Warung Dangau Restaurant , Room Service , Ballroom dan Meeting Room , fun games area , mini bar , dan  transport service. 

Metoda pembayarannya selain cash (tunai) juga bisa menggunakan Visa Card dan Master Card.Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya  ini memiliki tiga tipe kamar yakni Family Suite , Deluxe dan Superior.  Semua tipe kamarnya ini sudah satu paket dengan menu breakfast (sarapan pagi) untuk 2 orang, government tax dan service.  Yang unik dari hotel Randayan ini adalah memiliki 2 restoran sekaligus yakni Restoran Randayan dan Restoran Dangau.  Masing masing restoran ini memiliki  ciri khasnya masing masing.

Bagi penggemar menu menu seafood, pilihan pertama Restoran Randayan yang paling tepat karena restoran ini menyajikan aneka menu seafood, dan pilihan yang kedua adalah Restoran Dangau dengan  spesialisasinya menyajikan menu menu masakan tradisional. 

Hebatnya lagi selain anda bersantap dengan nikmat anda akan disuguhi pemandangan yang keren di dalamnya  yakni swimming pool (kolam renang) yang berada di tengah. Konsep kolam renang yang ditata apik dengan suasana pantai berpasir putih dikelilingi gedung hotel.  Sekilas mirip dengan Hotel Bintang 5 Sol Elit Marbella Anyer.  Amazing.  Ini merupakan salah satu view yang saya sukai dari Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya ini.

Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya benar benar memiliki lokasi yang sangat strategis, anda hanya perlu waktu sekitar 10 menit untuk menuju ke Bandara Internasional Supadio Pontianak dan sebaliknya dari kawasan Bandara menuju hotel.  Pilihan hotel yang sangat tepat bagi para wisatawan , pebisnis dan backpackers juga untuk seluruh keluarga yang ingin menikmati suasana hotel persis layaknya sedang berada di pantai nan Indah maka Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya tempatnya.

Fasilitas Kamar
Kamar saya waktu itu bernomor 2102 berada di lantai 2.  Bagi anda yang tidak kuat untuk naik tangga,  bisa memanfaatkan fasilitas lift yang juga sudah tersedia.  Lift yang hanya menampung maksimal beban 5 orang ini bisa anda gunakan untuk menuju kamar kamar yang berada di lantai 2 atau 3. Nah pada kesempatan ini, saya mengajak para pembaca blog saya yang setia untuk sekedar melihat lihat fasilitas apa saja yang ditawarkan untuk tipe room SUPERIOR yang saya gunakan waktu itu.

Pada umumnya fasilitas kamar yang saya tempati waktu itu relatif sama dengan fasilitas kamar hotel pada umumnya yakni bed , meja kerja , TV plasma atau flat screen dengan berbagai channel pilihan dalam dan luar negeri, fasilitas laundry , complimentari freewater, coffee maker , lemari pakaian.  

Khusus untuk safe deposit box belum tersedia di tipe kamar pilihan saya.   Bathroom dengan shower yang bisa di adjust suhu panas, hangat atau cool nya dan juga tersedianya towel, shower kit (sabun mandi, odol, sikat gigi).  Semuanya relatif sama pada umumnya.  Standar memang seharusnya seperti itu minimalnya.

Yang mungkin agak kurang nyaman adalah fasilitas WIFI nya yang hanya bisa diakses di ruang lobby Restoran Randayan saja.  Ini yang masih merupakan tanda tanya juga bagi saya mengapa para tamu tidak dapat menggunakan WIFI di dalam kamarnya masing masing. 

Kadang tamu merasa tidak perlu keluar ruangan untuk bisa mengakses internet karena sudah ada WIFI di dalam kamar. Solusi yang berhasil saya pecahkan yakni dengan merubah android saya menjadi mobile hotspot alias modem.

Hal lain yang perlu mendapat perhatian adalah kesigaan kru cleaning service yang seharusnya cepat tanggap merapihkan bekas piring makan yang sudah tidak digunakan lagi (baca : piring kotor) yang terletak di depan kamar para tamu agar segera diambil. Membiarkan piring piring bekas makan teronggok di depan kamar para tamu menimbulkan kesan yang tidak baik.

Para tamu juga saya himbau untuk segera memanggil layanan kebersihan harian atau cleaning service melalui Operator sehingga semuanya bisa diatasi dengan segera.  Pencahayaan dalam ruangan kamar juga perlu dicerahkan sedikit dan tidak kurang cahaya seperti yang saya rasakan kemarin.   Namun secara umum fasilitas kamar nya oke punya, dan  cukup nyaman saya kira .

Restoran Dangau
Sebagai tamu Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya , tentu mendapat voucher atau meal coupon atau kupon untuk sarapan pagi di Dangau Restaurant yang terletak persis di sebelah kanan dariHotel Dangau Kubu Raya. Jam buka restorannya dimulai pada pukul 07.00 sampai dengan pukul 22.00 WIB.  Letak restoran ini cukup berjalan kaki saja dari pintu keluar hotel atau melaui bagian belakang hotel melewati  Tanggooo Pizeria.

Hari pertama saya menukarkan kupon nya di restoran ini. Namun karena saya harus segera mengantar anak ke Sekolah sebelum pukul 07.00 WIB maka saya hanya mengambil sarapan ringan saja yakni setangkup roti tawar yang sudah dipanggang dengan olesan selai Strawberry dan minum segelas jus jeruk.  Dari dulu saya sangat suka dengan jus jeruk.  Saat saya aktif di program Kangguru Indonesia dan sering menginap di hotel hotel di Bali minuman jeruk adalah salah satu menu minuman yang sangat saya sukai.

Beragam menu di sajikan dalam "dapur" restoran Dangau ini.   Untuk hidangan pembukanya ada roti tawar dengan pilihan selai strawberry atau keju.  Juga tersedia cereal atau semacam chocho crunch gitu deh dengan susu cair yang dibuat secara khusus oleh chef restoran.  

Kue kue juga disediakan.  Untuk main meals (hidangan utamanya) ada nasi dengan menu lengkap.  Bagi fans bubur ayam juga tidak perlu kuatir karena juga disediakan.  Yang saya suka adalah kerupuk.  Saya termasuk fans berat kerupuk.  Makan rasanya seperti tidak makan kalau tidak di "temani" oleh kerupuk. Hehehhe.   Bagi tamu biasa yang bukan atau tidak menggunakan kupon, dapat langsung membayar di meja cashier.  Untuk pemegang kartu Bank Mandiri bisa digunakan untuk membayar dengan catatan minimal pembelanjaan Rp.100.000,-

Alunan musik atau lagu khas tanah Pasundan terdengar syahdu di telinga saya pagi itu.  Namun kadang diselingi juga dengan lagu khas Melayu Pontianak juga kerap diperdengarkan  menemani para tamu restoran menyantap hidangannya.  Meja dan kursi yang berbahan kayu belian yang kokoh dan furnish. 

Tata letak lampu yang khas memberi kesan sangat elegan dan klasik.  Satu yang saya suka adalah crew daripada Dangau Restaurant ini rata rata mengenakan busana khas Melayu : yakni Baju Kurung untuk staf wanita, dan teluk belanga untuk staf prianya.  Saya kagum dan sangat terkesan dengan Hotel Dangau Kubu Raya ini.  Semoga bisa berkesempatan menginap lagi di sini.
