Pontianak One patient under surveillance (PDP) related to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19 in West Kalimantan died on Wednesday (3/25). PDP died before the results of the Ministry of Health laboratory results were released.
"This PDP is a 50-year-old man from Pontianak City. He died even though the laboratory results from the Balitbangkes Ministry of Health have not yet come out," said Head of the West Kalimantan Health Service Harisson, in Pontianak, Wednesday (3/25).
The PDP, said Harrison, was a patient in the isolation room of Sudarso Regional Hospital, Pontianak City. The PDP died at 07.00 WIB, Wednesday (3/25).
Harisson explained, the PDP has a history of a trip to the city of Surabaya last February. Then on March 18, 2020, the patient was treated at one of the Private Hospitals in Pontianak with the diagnosis of Pneumonia.
"On March 23, 2020, the patient was immediately taken to Soedarso Hospital for treatment and entered the isolation room," he said. Harrison ensured that the PDP who died would go through the process of returning the body to the residence and burial using WHO standards.
"We learn from previous experience, now all hospitals have implemented PPI (infection prevention and control) standards strictly," he said.
Harrison again confirmed the people in monitoring (ODP) in West Kalimantan who continue to experience improvement.
Based on data from the Covid-19 pos West Kalimantan Health Office as of March 25, 2020 at 15:00 WIB, the number of ODP in West Kalimantan reached 2031 people, with a positive number of Covid-19 there were 3 people, PDP amounted to 37 people, two of whom died.
"For PDP who died this is still waiting for laboratory results, whether or not tested positive," Harrison said. (dho / ain)
