Hello there. This is Asep Haryono again, back to you this day to write some easy things during my "mudik" times I have had in Bekasi (East Jakarta) by the beginning of last November 2010. This is a story of my self at my parent home in Bekasi, in particular at Komplek Jalan Sarbini, Kranji Bekasi. Having finished taking care of my wife and son in Jogjakarta a week before, then I have to return to Pontianak, a capital city of West Kalimantan.

Unfortunately, during the way to Pontianak, I did not direct my road to the city, but I spent a few days before the date of my flight to Pontianak. I was there at my parent's home, doing some memorable activities including visiting to friends , relatives, and my neighbor as well. If you read the title of this posting, then you will certainly understand where the stories goes, yes this all about the "Bakmi Ayam". How do you say it in English?. Just do tell me, and I will edit the posting real soon after you are telling me the word. Okay?

Bakmi Ayam is a good Food
-->

Well, this time is about the "Mie Ayam", then our memories will certainly refer to the noodle that usually ate by students at university, oh really Asep?.

Well I am afraid yes is my right and correct answer. I could not thrieve my memories and counting to the amount of "mie" or noodle I have eaten during my studies at Tanjung Pura University Pontianak for the period of around 1990 to 1995.  As student at the university,  having those food is usual for the student at the university instead of other simple and cheap ones.

Just look back a moment in around 1990, and I was talking about one of Padang restaurant located precisely at front of the gateway of the University of Tanjungpura.  I forgot the name , but what I still remembered quite well was about the price of a "nasi bungkus" there was quite cheap in 1990.  You can purchase a slice of small rendang, two "bakwan," small vegetables, green chili (or cabe hijau for Padangnese can recognize) and also a simple amount of rice or nasi for short.  You can purchase them with only Rp.500,00,- (Five hundred rupiahs), and you can see how cheap the food is.

How about today's price for a small nasi bungkus just like I mentioned above?.  If you walked through along the  street of around Jalan Gajah Mada Pontianak, then you will find another Padang restaurants called "Simpang Ampek".

Unfortunately I did not have any picture describing about the building of the "simpang ampek" restaurant.  I will do that in the next posting Insya Allah.   Just provide your money at the sume of Rp.6.000,- (Six Thousand Rupiahs), then you will get a small portion of that "nasi bungkus" including a small size of rendang, one single "bakwan", small portion of vegetable, and green chili.  It was really yummy, delicious and good food to eat for a day of your lunch.

I have enclosed a photo of a banner of the Simpang Ampek restaurant.  The photo I took from other resource I came across on the internet site. The actual image  address is Sembako Wordpress which you can easily accessed and visited.   The Simpang Ampek is a Padang restaurant located in Jalan Gajah Mada, very close to my office , just take around 3 or 5 minutes and you will not miss them.  Based on the information listed on the banner, we can see that the restaurant is under the management of Jakarta.  I have an opinion that they are from Jakarta administration.  What else I can say for this?   No big deal.

Let's back again about the Bakmi Ayam.  As I have mentioned before that during my spare times in my parent's home in Bekasi, I have met my wonderful "Bakmi Ayam" salesman, Pak Anen dan Pak Nasir.  I have enclosed those photos of the man right.  Their products (I mean the "gerobak" ) located very close to my parent's home, and I only need a few metres to reach them.  Very close right, and that is why each time I get the opportunity to "mudik" at my parent's home in Bekasi, I will never let the chance of having "mie ayam" of them, at least twice a day.  Woilaaaaa

This Mas Anen. My fave Mie Ayam salesman in Bekasi.  His good Mie Ayam impressed me always.  I knew his Mie Ayam since I was at SMA in 1989.  You can order mie ayam here.  Trust me "enak bangedss".  Photo by Asep Haryono

Me and Mas Anen. I just had a plate of mie ayam here.  Yummyyyyyyyy

Mas Nasir, anothe Mie Ayam Salesman in Bekasi, my other fave one.  I knew his mie ayam for years, and I can eat them with pangsit and bakso. Wolaaa.   Enyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak

This is Mie Ayam from Mas Anen.  A mie Ayam with bakso, and chicken. You can purchase this food with only Rp.5.000,- (Five Thousand Rupiahs) only.  Photo by Asep Haryono

There are still lots of my "jajanan pasar" food that I would love to have them during my trip to Bekasi, in particular at my parent's home , Kranji, Bekasi, such as "Es Campur" , "Es Teller", "Pempek Palembang", "Sate Ayam" , "Tahu Sumedang" , "Pecel Lele" (I will talk about "Pecel Lele Lela" in some other times Insya Allah), and also some other relate food.  Did you have all those sort of food you like?  Did you have your own fave food to discuss with?    Just share ideas , and tell them to me, and I will do my best to read them all too.  I love food, and I might be "certified food lover" in Pontianak.

Dear my readers. I would like to apologize for not posting my new article and latest information on this my only one blog these days due to I am quite busy at this time to prepare myself in selection process of the Endeavour Scholarship Award 2013.

All information about the Australian Scholarship can be found on their website, and every one is welcomed to join the selection. Many of you, which have been graduated from the University, or having a Bachelor degree (S1) were recommended to apply for Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) which are very famous than the Endeavour one.

Perhaps some of you do not recognize about the Endeavour Scholarship, well, that will be fine. Based on what I knew from their formal resources can be found that the Endeavour Awards were intended for those who would like to get additional knowledge and information in terms of their educational background and working experiences altogether

Based on what I knew from their formal resources can be found that the Endeavour Awards were intended for those who would like to get additional knowledge and information in terms of their educational background and working experiences altogether. Basically they are not providing any Bachelor degree, and their financial support does not provide any attempt to pursue any degree in any field of study.

For the referees for instance, you need to provide three referees whose reputation and commitment can be depended on to clarify and nominate the applicant in order to support their chances of being selected by the Endeavour team.  I have found one potential referee from Kang Guru Indonesia based in Bali, and I would love to find another two.  It was really noit easy as I think, and I am sure of getting through this difficult period of time.

Another important thing from this application is about the area of study I was interested in.  Having searched for the whole primary informtion about the courses and subjects available at the website, I have found one or two suitable area of study whose career and prospect were relevant to my working experiences in the field of information and technology.

Unlike the ADS (Australian Development Studies) , the Endeavour Award did not support to finance the applicant to pursue any degree in any area of studies in Australia.

Problems And Difficulties
IF you think of my journey of applying this scholarship withou facing any difficulties and problems, perhaps you were wrong in every way.  Just like any one else, I found many problems in dealing with those complicated academic requirements that should be fulfilled by myself as candidate or applicant.

I found many things to be covered and accommodated like filling in the application form and registration form as well.   If you have received an application letter from your fave host of institution in Australia, then you have to submit them along with your academic translated transcript in order to obtain formal admission letter or letter of offer.

How about the language proficienty proof of evidence?. Based on the 2013 Endeavour guildelines clearly stated that the proof of language proficiey can be taken through IELTS or TOEFL, but they were more likely supposed to accept both, however the IELTS willl be more preferable.  The fees of those IELTS in my city, Pontianak, can be more than Rp.2.500.000,- (Two Milllion and Five Hundred Thousand Rupiahs) which can be very expensive for me to afford.

I did not what to do for sure to collect and earn money for that IELTS payment, and my saving now was not enough for me to support my plan to take that IELTS test date which can be predicted will be the end of this May 2013.

I have planned to borrow from my wife's money or any friends of mine for this.  My plan to take this Endeavour selection was really huge and enormous things nad have planned for years.

If you have planned to take another TOEFL test, then be advised to take the test of the TOEFL in those three accepted catagories, IBT, CBT or PBT.  Do you what they were of those IBT, CBT or PBTstanding for?. THE IBT means "Internet Base Test", CBT means "Computer Base Test", and while "PBT" is "Paper Base Test".

If you took the ITP TOEFL whose derived from the PBT then you have to make sure of the score will be useful.  The Endeavour team decided not to accept the ITP TOEFL which can be defined as old fashion test of the language. Please be advised to prepare yourself to take any IELTS test as early as possible.  Remember that the score of the IELTS can be obtained at least 15 days from the date of the test.   I have planned to cover up and complete all those academic requirements beofre the closing date in June 2013.

This is one of my ultimate dreams that I would like to make it true.  It will not be easier thing that and cannot be predicted. Insya Allah I will be bale to go through those requirements and ready to face any possibilities of my applicationn result.  One thing to be sure of now is I have been working on it, and still in progress.   Please do support me and wish me luck with your pray.  I would like to study in Australia. (Asep Haryono)

Dear all. How are you today every one?. Well today, I am pleased to find out that my current balance earning of my only one verified Google Adsense account have reached more than $ 10,00 USD as the requirements to get a PIN from the Google Adsense. Perhaps every one whose online business dealing with generating ads and accept advertising campaign project will recognized the Google Adsense.

There are lots of people around the world whose online business using the ads code used in their website became million dollars person and got many fresh money from their online content. I will remember one of my senior Internet Marketers from Pontianak, mas Eddy Setiawan, whose earnings from the Google Adsense were awesome, and I need to learn more from him someday. Do you know what the Google Adsense is?. Do you know what I mean by the PIN. Basically all information about the Google Adsense can be found very easily by visiting to their official website

What is Google Adsense
If you want an easy way to earn money from your online content, AdSense makes sense. Google AdSense shows the right ads on your website, videos, or even web-based games and you make money. According to Wikipedia tell us that Google AdSense is a program run by Google Inc. that allows publishers in the Google Network of content sites to serve automatic text, image, video, and rich media adverts that are targeted to site content and audience.

How the Adsense is working for you? . They are very simple,  you just put the ads code in the form of you like and wait and see.  If someone out there clicks the ads, and you will get revenue.   The webmaster inserts the AdSense JavaScript code into your webpage or blog. and each time this page is visited, the JavaScript code uses inlined JSON to display content fetched from Google's servers.  As I told you before that If someone out there clicks the ads, and you will get revenue.

Please do not click on your own ads, or tell someone else out there to click the ads for you due to the Google Adsense Algorith System can detect you very easily.  They had very awesome and excellent bots to scan and verify the clics for your ads, and you will get ban or account disable for breaking the rules.  All information about the Google Adsense can be found now from their official website

Back to the PIN, well , I tell again this day.  My current earnings now have reached the minimum balance to verify my postal address to received the PIN.  To be verified by the Google Adsense about the address of my self is true and correct, they will mail the PIN to my address within a few days.

Some people said that the mail will be on their way to me within a few weeks.  I am not sure and I don't know which is true due to this is my very first time in the adsense business with online contents revenue.

The Google Adsense clearly stated that  "to verify your account we automatically generate and mail a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to the payment address listed in your account. Once you receive your PIN, you'll need to enter it at the bottom of this page. In the meantime, your account remains active and you may continue to show ads and accrue earnings".   Well okay , I will follow this rule.  I am pleased to know that the Google Adsense now also valid and can be used in Indonesian content for Indonesian people.  This is a good news for online content marketing business, right?

I do not know the form or size of the Google Adsense PIN, but I can figure out the image of the PIN from searching for the internet.  There is only a code, number code to be inserted in my account at the Google Adsense to verify that the postal address was true and correct. As I told you before that The PIN of the Google Adsense will mail the Google Adsense through the postal address you have submitted in your account.  Once you have inserted the PIN, your address will be officially confirmed

For beginner like me,  I am sure of there are lots of things that I must work out to maximize my earning from the Google Adsense.  According to the Guideline rules of the publishers of the Google Adsense, I will certainly receive Google adsense cheque when the curren balance is reaching a minimum of $ 100,00 USD, and I hope it will come to me sooner or later.   (Asep Haryono)
Dear Blog

I have now had time to consider this time today to write some simple messages to every one whose wish and greeting addressed to me on my 41st Anniversary of my birthday fell April 19th.

As you may have seen right now that I was very rarely wrote my posting at my website and blog since the last two weeks due to I was quite busy these time to cover all my projects, daily activities, my work , and at the same time taking care of my two children and family as well.

I Have A Dream
Some of those whose SMS and inboxes I received this morning clearly stated that the age I was now as the golden moments to start a new life. Is it true and correct? However some people often confirmed the new life begin at 40, and I feel this must be right in some cases but different thing in another. Why is that? I did say that was true, but I must believe in my self that the life should be continue in every way in every conditions.

41 years of age , was not a young again.  I must say that the time was running very fast starting from the time I was borned fourty-one years ago from a Javanese mother stayed in Jakarta (we moved to Bekasi in the next few years later on), taking some times at elementary school and SMP in Jakarta.  One year later,  I followed my family moved into Bekasi,  East gate of Jakarta and completed my Senior High School (year 12) in Bekasi, and then moved my self again to West Kalimantan in 1990.

I never imagined that I have been living in West Kalimantan for a period of around 22 years, and I never thing that I will be that long time right here in the 3rd fat island all across Indonesia..  I feel I have had some cultural shocked at the first time I dropped into in Pontianak, the capital city of West Kalimantan.  Time runs very smoothly and fast that I can't stop until I get married with one clover student of IKIP PGRI Semarang, and Jogjakarta original and got two children right now.

I still have a dream to pursue, and I think every one in this world has a dream too.  Whenever, whatever and whoever you are, in this world, must have a dream to catch on.  I have a dream to travel around the world, and continue my studies in other parts of the world.  Australia, is one of the most wanted country that I would love to go at some times in the future.  With the age I was now, I had no time to play around again with any opportunity that may open wide around me.

I am not so late to pursue my dream.  I am not late.  I still have a chance to succeed.

With this golden opportunity, I would like to extend my gratitude to my wife, Rudi Maryati S.Pd and our two children , Abbie Muhammad Furqan Haryono and Tazkia Montessori Putri Haryono for their warm welcome, support and also love to be with me forever and ever.

I would like to say thank you to  every one which already sending me those wonderful birthday greetings, wishes, and expressions of friendship.  May Allah SWT will respon and reply back all of your wonderful noble heart with excellent and outstanding reward from Allah SWT.  Amin Amin Amin ya Robbal Alamin
At Aula Perpustakaan Daerah
By Asep Haryono

I was invited to give presentation at one day workshop for SMA Students administered by Pro Education English course on Saturday 25th of September 2010 at Aula Perpustakaan Daerah located in Jalan Soetoyou Pontianak. here are two sessions in the workshop .

One is presentation came from Ibu Eni Rosnija,MA from English Department of Tanjungpura University. Her presentation was about "how to speak English with effectively and fun" by using power point.

The main master of the ceremony during this event was Dwi Sasta Kanaya or well-known as DwiRaEmon have been working very good work presenting the schedule and the program during the day. She loved DoraEmon so much and her blog named after her fave anime of Japan.  As the keynote speaker during the workshop was Mr Ucup Supriyadi.  He did a great job in his awesome presentation about his visions and projects of his English Club

Two was mine.   My presentation is about "Learn English with KangGURU Indonesia online".  Learning English online is a great and fun too instead of getting information and entertainment, right.

I decided to useKangGURU Website (www.kangguru.org) and explained on many aspects from the website which they might find interesting including some English materials they might find on the website and podcast they could listen to.

I suggested the audiences to be more actively in the KangGURU FOrum on the website too. I presented in front of around 250 SMA students in Pontianak. The presentation was successful and lots of questions from students about the role of KangGURU Website to improve their learning of English.   Some of the students were really interested in getting latest Magazine of KangGURU Indonesia.

At the end of my presentation , there were a small contest.    I only had two small KG packages to give away.    Unfortunately, I did not receive KangGURU 2010 bulletin to show to audiences during the workshop.According to Principal of Pro Edcuation English course , Mr Ucup Supriadi , that the workshop has been closed one day before that day and more and more students were coming to our registration desk to be enrolled as participant.

Just take a look at some photos I took during this awesome event. The photos have not been published before, and I decided to post some of the photos here.  All right reserved by me absolutely.

KangGuru Champion and Dwi.

Around 250 students attended the workshop. Awesome

Did you a teacher seated on the left side of the students. Did you recognized here.  The photo was small, right. Well she was Madam Yeti Suyasti S.Pd. My senior in English Dept FKIP UNTAN

Ibu Eni Rosnija S.Pd asked a question to one of the participants during the workshop

Dwi in Action.  She holded Kang Guru goodies to give away

This is a place where the committee met and discussed before the workshop

Two excellent people during the workshop. Good person. Bang Ucup And Dwi Sasta Kanaya.  They did a great job organizing the workhop.  Well done
The Workshop
Meals.  We celebrated our succesful workshop with meals at KFC Ahmad Yani.  Awesome

I worked with a few friends from our course to handle more than 250 participants for this a half day workshop, and it was really amazing.  A lot of students must have been suspended to avoid too many people in this room" said Ucup Supriadi.

He also confirmed that the roadshow of Pro Education English course will be running to several cities in West Kalimantan such as Sintang, Ketapang, Sambas, and many other cities of West Kalimantan.   "We also planned to conduct a workshop for English teachers for SMA Students real soon after this one, and I hope anyone can let me know if they knew facilitatior or material providers to be contacted" said Ucup.

On behalf of the Kang Guru Indonesia based in Bali, I would like to express my gratitude for this invitation and I am pleased to work you again in the future.  I have had great times during the workshop, and I am looking forward to work together again with you all real soon.  I hope so and I know so.  (Asep Haryono)

First of all , I would like to express my gratitude for my new blogger joined into my group yesterday, Flfrida Chaniar , who expressed her idea and comment about my topic yesterday, Rujak Petis.

The rujak seller, Kang Asep Bandung , I met a few weeks ago, and I was pleased to know the rujak still exist in the place before, around the museum Pontianak. What a coinciden the name was really the same with mine. The first name was Asep, and my first name was it?

Since it was becoming one of my fave food , instead of rice of course , I have decided to choose the food to complete my dish at sometime in the future. However the taste was quite hot for the chili, I think some of you will certainly love the food either.

I have mentioned in my previous posting about the rujak petis which commonly found in every corner of the city in Pontianak particularly in the area corner around Jalan Ahmad Yani. If you have seen those people with the bad behind with many fruits on the basket, perhaps that is the Rujak seller. You can purchase the food with affordable price, a plastic glass of the rujak can be afforded around Rp.5.000,- (Five thousand rupiahs), and I think you can buy it if you like. Do you like the rujak petis as I do?
It happened again yesteday when I was passing around Jalan Ahmad Yani, especially a place in the corner around TK Islam Al Azhar or particularly in front of the Pempek "Ratu" after all.  I purchased another glass of the rujak petis at the sume of that five thousand rupiahs, and I bought two.  One was for me , and another one was for my wife.  I did not know that my wife loved the food too.   I dropped by for a moment in front of the pempek "Ratu" , across the road , and bought the rujak.

I released my digital camera again to capture the moment.  According to my experiences in tasting the rujak, I had my own opinion tha the rujak petis located around TK Islam Al Azhar or in front of the Pempek "Ratu" in Jalan Ahmad Yani as the most delicious rujak petis for all.   If you purchased the food here, your rujak petis will get additional peanut to make the food more good.    Please have a look two photos below

One thing I noticed for this man I met yesterday was about the place of origin of the food. I was not sure of the label "Rujak Bandung" here means by.  It was the rujak originaly coming from Bandung in Central Java?  Or about the person, the man who selling the food, was from Bandung?.  I did not know for sure as I did not know about the original creator of the rujak petis it self.   Do you know where the rujak petis was coming from? I did not know at all. You tell me.

Each time I purchased the rujak petis, I always put them in my refrigerator at home to get cool sensational, and I feel so good when I was having the rujak in cool however without ice.  I often put some ice too inside the rujak petis to get more cool, however the taste can be different because of the ice.  The small pieces of the fruit as raw material for the rujak petis was really fits for my stomach.  I would love to eat the rujak petis in a small portion.

Is he Kang Asep? Yes his name is.  Photo by Asep Haryono

Hi again with me Asep Haryono here.  How are you all today?  I hope everything is doing according the plan, and I am here doing just fine.  I hope you are all , my loyal readers wherever you are now , having good time these days , get much love and happiness every time  every day and every moment.  Today's story is a little thing about one of my fave food instead of nasi.  How about rujak?  Well , I am sure of every one of you recognize the rujak.  Our traditional food?  Absolutely.

Just look at the photo I took a few weeks ago on this blog. The photo taken in around Muzeum locate din Jalan Ahmad Yani Pontianak. Do you know the rujak is?   Perhaps a few friends here do not like the food due to it hot taste and can make your lips and tongue burning together..

Rujak (Rojak in English spelling?-red) is a combination of several pieces of fruit cut in small pieces, then given a sauce (spice-red) which is made from a mixture of bean sauce, brown sugar, chili, and sometimes still sprinkled with the paste. Any kind according to taste, dish salad would be refreshing if eaten after the main meal (eg lunch-ed).   I think there is a little different between the salad and the rujak in terms of contents of the food.  How about you? Do you like the salad too.

According to wikipedia mentioned that Rojak is a traditional food which is usually made from a mixture of various kinds of vegetables or fruit and spiked with spices or sauces. Salad easy to find in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, and there called the "Rojak". While this type of type of salad in Indonesia there are many different kinds.

I have a unique experience at the first time I purchased a glass of the rujak mentioned above, The price of the Rujak Petis is around Rp.5.000,- or Five Thousand Rupiahs, and I think every one can afford the rujak petis. How about the taste? Hot , for sure.  Unlike the organic rujak or normal one, the Rujak Petis do not use the peanut sauce instead of gula merah and chile.  The color of the sauce is red dark as the result of the sugar.

It happened to this Rujak Petis a few weeks ago.  Having finished my KTP ( not e-KTP, not yet) in the office of Civil Registry and then proceed  to go home and back to the office through the streets Ahmad Yani. I passed the State Museum of West Kalimantan, I was suprised to see a banner name of the rujak seller "Kang Asep Bandung" which very close to my name. Awesome.  We had the same name.

I dropped for a while that time, and I decided to purchase a glass of the rujak with the man.  While the rujak seller is preparing the rujak as I ordered, I am looking the face of the seller, well his face does not look like me hehehhehehehee.  If you have the same name with somebody else does not mean you must have the same face with them, right?   The name could be the same, the face is another.  Hehehehee.

Do you like Rujak?  I do
