Jakarta. President Joko Widodo officially opened the 2018 Asian Games event. There are 45 countries including Indonesia participating.
"On behalf of all the people of Indonesia we are proud, we are honored the arrival of special guests from 45 countries," said Jokowi who stood side by side with Vice President Jusuf Kalla at the Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday (08/18/2018) .
Jokowi said the Asian Games show a sense of brotherhood, a sense of unity between countries in Asia. All countries that have achievements according to Jokowi have the same goal of pursuing achievements. "By saying the bisharirahrahirimim of the 18th Asian Games in 2018 I stated that it was opened," said Jokowi, greeted by a standing ovation.

President Joko Widodo seemed to enjoy the strains of Meraih Bintang song delivered by Via Vallen. Jokowi even rocked the paddle. Via Vallen performed after athletes from 45 countries including Indonesia.

President Joko Widodo and First Lady, Iriana Jokowi welcomed the athletes contingent at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games. Jokowi looked very excited.
Monitoring at the Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, Saturday (08/18/2018), Jokowi and Iriana immediately stood up when the Indonesian contingent started the definition. Both raised their hands.
