Pontianak XXV National Tilawatil Qur'an (STQ) Selection Contingent held a ta'aruf parade which began from the courtyard of the West Kalimantan Governor's office towards Kapuas Square, Saturday (29/6). All caliphs participated in the ta'aruf parade.
Since the morning the decorative cars are ready in the yard of the office of the Governor of West Kalimantan, the character of the car decoration also highlights the distinctive characteristics of each province in Indonesia, complete with their respective regional clothing.
At eight o'clock, the car that was decorated in such a manner departed past the route of A Yani Road, Ahmad Dahlan, Wahid Hasyim, H Rais A Rahman, Martadinata, Kom Yos Sudarso, Pak Kasih and finish in front of the Kapuas Alun Park on Jalan Rahadi Usman.
In Kapuas Square itself, people are already busy waiting for the arrival of cars that showcase the characteristics of the area. Around ten o'clock, the ta'aruf parade car arrived at Kapuas Square.
Various distinctive features are displayed in the form of replicas of cars, traditional clothing, and folk songs displayed by each contingent. What is of concern to the public is the caliph from DKI Jakarta that displays a replica of the Bridge for the Disposal of People at the Bung Karno Stadium.
The Qubil AJ pesinetron who was an envoy from the DKI Jakarta contingent said, this time the group participated in STQ, and presented a replica of the pedestrian bridge in Bung Karno in Jakarta, which was very cultural.
"This is a building that is friendly to its users for the means of da'wah. We do not bring Monas here. This is also a place of propaganda and preaching in Jakarta, because Jakarta is also the city of a thousand mosques," he said.
West Kalimantan Governor Sutarmidji said that the taaruf march was part of Islamic activities. The goal is to enliven as well as a forum to inform the general public that there is a national event namely STQ XXV in the City of Pontianak. "Even though we have been intensively promoting STQ XXV long ago," he said.
While Pontianak Mayor Edi Rusdi Kamtono said that the taaruf parade was part of the socialization that there was a national big event in the city of Pontianak as the host. "In addition, this Taaruf parade is also competed while participating in enlivening the National STQ XXV," he added.
He also invited all the people to come together to the location of the event, namely behind the Alun Kapuas Park, Equator Monument, Pontianak IAIN, Untan and Mujahidin Mosque to see the STQ competition. In addition to watching the competition, there are many interesting things at the National STQ this time, the exhibition stand with a display of typical products is considered Edi also a magnet for people to come here.
