In addition to the Kapuas Square Park, the Equator Monument is also the location where STQ is held. The choice of the Equator Monument was chosen because it was the only city in the world to pass through the equator, he said.

He added, at the opening of the STQ the event will also be enlivened with a typical Pontianak carbide cannon which will be sounded as many as 25 times according to STQ XXV. To further enliven this national level title, it will combine with other activities such as exhibitions, various competitions which all lead to XXV National STQ activities."We hope that all citizens of Pontianak City will enliven XXV National STQ by being involved directly or indirectly," said the Pontianak Mayor.
