Pontianak Pontianak Mayor Sutarmidji opened the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) XXVII Level South Pontianak District. He also asked the panel of judges not only to provide value but also input.
"I ask, the judges council that assesses MTQ participants, not only provides mere value, but they also provide input for participants who have potential," Sutarmidji said in his remarks at the opening of XXVII MTQ in Pontianak on Monday (11/27). )
He explained, the input was in the form of a note from the assessment he did. Thus, those who have the potential can be fostered in strengthening the MTQ contingent later on at various levels, both sub-districts, cities, provinces and even nationally.

"Show what the weaknesses are, so that coaching can be done to further improve their abilities," he said. The participants who are members of each caravan, namely the caravan from Kota Baru, the Malay Continent, the Malay Sea Continent, Tokaya Trench and Akcaya are ready to compete in the MTQ title in the South Pontianak District.
Moreover, according to Sutarmidji, the assessment component is the same, starting from MTQ at the sub-district to the national level. So he asked the panel of judges to submit assessment notes to the Pontianak City Tilawatil Quran (LPTQ) Development Institute as an evaluation material.

"So that in the future these children can be trained and increased their abilities, if necessary, find someone who can build it," he said.
On that occasion, he also asked the sub-district heads and village heads to be more observant to see children who have the potential to read the Koran in their respective regions to be nurtured and guided so that their abilities can continue to develop.
The Pontianak City Government Program which requires graduate students from the Khatam Alquran Middle School by pocketing the certificate to be applied. Meanwhile, for high school students who have not studied the Koran and do not have a certificate, then they will be given additional lessons to read the Koran to those concerned and pocket the certificate.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Committee of MTQ XXVII Level of South Pontianak Subdistrict, Fursani said, the MTQ activity was held aimed at finding, selecting and fostering qori and qoriah and hafiz and hafizah which would be prepared to face Pontianak's MTQ in 2018.
"The theme of MTQ is with the spirit of Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran XXVII Level of South Pontianak Subdistrict, bringing together the steps to build a community like to read the Koran," he said.
According to him, as many as 160 participants who participated in the South Pontianak MTQ Level Subdistrict competition, and of that number, were divided into four branches contested, namely 45 Tartil Quran branches, 34 Quran recitations, 76 people Tahfiz Quran, and 5 Syarhil Quran person.
