Pontianak The sound of a Pontianak carbide cannon will enliven the opening of the 25th National Tilawatil Quran (STQ) Selection in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Saturday (06/29/2019).
There are as many as nine carbide cannons that have been placed lined up on the water front of the Kapuas square park. The giant carbide cannon is facing the replica of the Equator monument. This carbide cannon is a typical city of Pontianak when the Takbiran night welcomed Eid known as the carbide cannon festival. The location of this jumbo carbide cannon is also one of the photo spots for STQ caravan members.
Later in the procession the opening ceremony will sound as many as 25 booms as a sign of opening the National STQ Pontianak West Kalimantan. 25 thumps as the 25th symbolic STQ was held.
The Chairperson of the National STQ West Kalimantan Sy Kamaruzaman said STQ 2019, will be held in 5 venues including Kapuas Square Park, Masjid Raya Mujahidin, Equator Monument, Untan Library Building and IAIN Pontianak area.

As for a number of branches which will be contested, among them, the Al-Quran Tilawah branch with groups tilawah adult sons and daughters, tilawah sons and daughters. Tahfidz Alquran Branch with groups, tahfidz 1 juz and tilawah, tahfidz 5 juz and tilawah, tahfidz 10 juz, ahfidz 20 juz, and tahfidz 30 juz. Branch of Tafsir of the Koran and branches of the Hadith of the Prophet with memorized classes of 100 hadith with sanad, memorization of 500 hadiths(Source : TRIBUN PONTIANAK)
